Child Safety Standards
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Settle It (published as Settle It: Disputes, operated by Airglow, LLC) has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. This page describes the standards we hold ourselves to and how we prevent, detect, and respond to CSAE across our app and website.
Minimum age
Settle It requires everyone to be at least 13 years old. We ask for a date of birth the first time you sign in and block accounts that don’t meet this minimum. Users under 18 are shown only non-personalized ads.
What you can post
Settle It does not support uploading photos, videos, or audio. Every “settle” (the disputes people create and vote on) and every comment is plain text that you type directly into the app. This removes the most common vector for CSAE material on user-generated-content apps.
Reporting in the app
Every settle can be reported directly from the app with a single tap. Reports are logged with a reason and reviewed by our team; a settle is automatically hidden once it collects enough reports, pending review. We use these reports, together with our own moderation, to remove content that violates these standards and to act against the accounts responsible.
Our commitment
- We do not permit any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors.
- We remove violating content and accounts as soon as we become aware of them, and we report apparent CSAE to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other relevant authorities as required by law.
- We cooperate with law enforcement investigations into CSAE to the extent required and permitted by law.
